About The Bureau of Tiny Approvals

The Bureau of Tiny Approvals is a small interactive toy dressed as a 1978 desktop console. You are the sole officer on duty, and your job is to review a steady stream of absurd little petitions, requests for permission to do harmless, oddly specific things, and stamp each one APPROVED or DENIED.

The joke is bureaucratic solemnity applied to matters of no importance at all. Every decision feels weighty and official; none of it matters in the slightest. It is a gentle satire of red tape and rubber stamps, playable in a minute and complete in itself.

To use it, read each petition and stamp it APPROVED or DENIED. There is no wrong answer and no score, and nothing you decide is stored or sent anywhere. The authority is entirely yours, and entirely invented.

Questions

Is there a right answer?
No. Approve or deny whatever you like; there is no score and no consequence.
Does it save my decisions?
No. Nothing you stamp is stored or sent anywhere.
What is it, really?
A one-minute browser toy and a gentle satire of bureaucracy, part of the Boring Websites webring.

The network

The Bureau is one of a small webring of tiny, useless, hand-made sites called Boring Websites, each doing exactly one pointless thing:
